I've seen many momma's telling their birth story so here is my attempt at it (it's pretty long sorry in advance) My doctor was originally planning to get me induced a week or two early because when we had an ultrasound at 36 weeks baby was already 6 lb 11 oz and measuring as if she was 38 weeks, but then she changed her mind when at the next appointment baby was on schedule for size. I was always exhausted, I was struggling with working so I quit my job at 37 weeks and also not knowing how long after baby is born that i could go back to work. I kept waiting for braxton hicks to start since my doctor says those will happen before actually contractions but nothing had happened yet even when I was at 38 weeks, still nothing. I was starting to just wish baby would just come out already because she was getting so heavy it was hard to do anything because it took so much energy to do little things, for example taking the dog out potty, my trying to get up from chairs, put on shoes, or even just going to the restroom. April 18th, I would be in my recliner in the living room which I've been sleeping in since the start of my 3rd trimester (since I could no longer get comfortable enough to sleep in bed), I noticed Aurora acting strange, she would legit lay on top of my feet and sleep as i was in the recliner or if i was actually reclined she would sleep next to the recliner (since getting the recliner Aurora has been scared of it and would not get near it), also Aurora was following me like a little shadow everywhere sticking to me like glue which was out of the normal for her. Usually at max she would follow me to the restroom, but not all the time nor every time I got up to walk around, which is what she was doing now. April 21st I was officially 39 weeks, I woke up like most mornings needing to pee so I got up and went to the restroom and came back to the recliner in the living room to go back to sleep. After getting comfortable all of a sudden i got a really sharp pain at 8:55am that felt like a bad period cramp it only lasted for a minute and disappeared, I thought to myself this must be the braxton hicks contractions. I had a few more and started to get uncomfortable so I decided to download an app that tracks contractions to see how long the cramps were lasting etc. Aurora started whining so even though i was having cramps like pain every few minutes i got up and took Aurora out potty. While heading back upstairs to our 3rd floor apartment the cramps started to get more painful. Once getting inside i sat back on my recliner and then the cramps turned to pain like as if someone was stabbing me in the gut, by the time it was 9:50am hit i was screaming in pain which woke up cesar. Which he would say my screams sounded more like howling. He basically just threw on some clothes and said he was taking me to the hospital, because I was in so much pain. When we finally got to the hospital, i was put in a wheel chair because I was in so much pain from the contractions that I could barely stand, let a lone anything else but scream in pain. I was brought into a room and got checked out by a nurse in the delivery department of the hospital. The nurse said i was only dilated to 3 cm and was planning on just sending me home, when the head nurse said that we aren't sending anyone home this lady is in active labor she's going nowhere until that baby is out. They tried to put an IV multiple times into my arms but because of my contractions being so intense I kept bursting my veins, So they requested for me to get an epidural. Once i got the epidural I was able to relax enough so they could put an IV into me. The pain from my contractions went from extreme pain to the bad period cramps i started out with in the morning and I got to relax a bit for a few hours. Then the nurses started to try and flip baby since she was facing upwords vs what they wanted her to be facing. After checking my dilation which was still at 3cm, they made me use an exercise like ball that was shaped like a peanut to try and rotate her. They came back an hour later and checked my dilation again still the same and then had me switch to my other side using the peanut ball. I was only on my other side for a little bit when my contractions started to hurt really bad again even with the epidural, which made the nurse come back 10 minutes later, and she checked my dilation again and i was at 10 cm. She contacted my doctor and said that even though they still haven't rotated the baby that i was ready to push. I only pushed for about an hour when baby Vanessa made her appearance at 4:39pm weighing 9lb 1oz. In total i was in labor for about 7 hours. Vanessa definitely wanted to be a surprise, it was a surprise when I found out I was pregnant and she also wanted her arrival to be a surprise as well. But I'm soo happy to have her in my life she is just the cutest little angel ever. I can't believe my little girl is already a month old. Yes being a parent its hard and most of the time i dont get sleep, but i won't change anything in the world, I love her soo much ❤️

So much has happened these past 2 years, to be honest I am still trying to process it all. I got engaged and graduated with my bachelor's degree in fall of 2021, then in February my fiancé surprised me with getting a corgi, July We got married, found out I was pregnant at the end of August, and we moved to Texas in September. Of course, in between all these happy events there has been struggles especially trying to find our footing in Texas far away from my family and friends, trying to figure out how to manage money and keep up on all our normal monthly bills and my medical bills. Trying to get things to be ready for our little girl to enter this world. Worrying about how we are gonna stay afloat once I can’t work anymore, since when Vanessa is born, we won’t have anyone to babysit so, I will have to stay home to take care of her, and that will bring down how much money we will have to pay bills etc. My husband needs a new car that is more reliable than the one he has, we would

Hi everyone I know its been awhile since I last wrote something, and honestly idk if anyone reads my journals anymore. But, the last time I wrote something was a few months ago, which in the end was about me trying to commit suicide. I am in a better place now. After my sister heard about it she and her husband decided when they got their own home they would have me live with them. so March 27th the 2 days after my birthday, I moved with them into their new and first home. It's almost been 2 months since I've tried killing myself, and I can honestly say that I'm in a better place. I no longer have to go through the abuse of my mother, and how she always degraded me and made me feel worthless and can accomplish nothing. Now i live in a home where I feel loved and wanted, and they are always encouraging me and being supportive. The atmosphere they give off is welcoming and loving, which this is the first time in all of my 23 years I actually feel like I have a home and a family.
